From Crane Operator to Transport Planner

Peter de Best spent 12 years on the road in a lorry as a crane operator, but wanted to change career when he became a father for the first time - but preferably he would still like to surround himself with cranes. Therefore, he has now taken on the role as a Transport Planner at Oudeman Transport, where he orchestrates the transport company's fleet of crane trucks.

Both Peter and the company benefit from his many years of experience in the lifting world and his good understanding of logistics.

Oudeman Transport has a well-established fleet/range of HMF cranes, including two HMF 9520s, two HMF 6020s, one HMF 1720K for container transport, and one HMF 7020K, which - thanks to its design - is particularly suited to navigate in city centres with weight restrictions.

According to Peter, each crane has its unique strengths. He is good at choosing the right one for each job. Whether it's assembling steel structures, lifting boats or renovating crematoriums across Europe, Peter ensures that the right equipment is dispatched.

In addition to a sharp logistical overview, Peter's new job role also consists of other elements; he must also nurture the company's strong relationships with customers and ensure efficient operations. His passion for the transport company's impressive fleet of HMF cranes is shared by the skilled drivers, who handle the challenging tasks with great expertise.

On social media, you can follow Peter and the rest of Oudeman Transport's activities, where they share great pictures of trucks and HMF cranes that clearly show the company's
commitment to excellence and professional lifting tasks.
