HMF crane makes crane operator’s everyday life safer and waste management more efficient

Along with his favourite HMF crane, crane driver Dennis Bundgaard empties up to 150 waste containers a day, putting efficient environmental management on the agenda.

For the past two and a half years, Dennis Bundgaard has been touring Sealand as a driver for the waste management company Urbaser. Accompanied by his 2820K-RCS crane from HMF, he handles waste in 4 different municipalities - and he is not the only one; using HMF cranes, his colleagues from Urbaser also collect everyday waste in underground refuse systems all over the country. This enables the company to set a high standard in environmentally friendly waste recycling.

Has chosen his own crane

"When you empty between 90 and 150 waste containers a day, it's not unimportant which crane is handling them," says the experienced crane operator. The high capacity in a compact size makes the 2820K-RCS crane ideal for an efficient and fast-paced working day - and he even chose it himself.

The fact is that, the employees at Urbaser have a great deal of say when it comes to vehicle body buildings. With 15 years of experience with HMF cranes, Dennis still chooses HMF as his faithful companion.

With a hook lift on the truck and a cable lift system on the trailer, Dennis can handle all types of waste containers he meets on his way. So, he’s “doing pretty well”, he says with a modest smile, and adds: "HMF installations are just the coolest!"

Security in everyday life

As a crane operator in one of Denmark's leading waste management companies, you get around a lot - but never far from an HMF service partner. HMF’s service network is spread over no less than 20 different locations throughout Denmark. Dennis emphasizes that this gives him security on his trips around the country: "Service availability gives me great security, and spare parts are fortunately never far away."

Should an accident occur, help is always at hand. It is important for all parties to be back on the road again quickly. Because, as Dennis says, standing still is expensive. He explains: "With HMF's wide service network, downtime can be minimized. This enables great operational safety for both Urbaser and the municipalities we are working in".

Then crane operator Dennis Bundgaard and his colleagues in Urbaser can focus on doing their job; to ensure efficient environmental management in Denmark.
