At HMF, we take pride in offering our apprentices a structured and secure training program that prepares them for an exciting career.

In January 2025, we welcomed our two newest apprentice blacksmiths, Hjørleif Sevdal and Mikkel Pedersen. Both had heard about HMF through their school where HMF has built a strong reputation over the years.

"There isn’t a single day when I don’t feel like going to work," says Hjørleif enthusiastically. Originally from the Faroe Islands, he moved to Denmark to study pedagogy but quickly realized it wasn’t the right path for him. Blacksmithing, on the other hand, felt like the perfect fit: "I love creating and working with my hands – now I can hardly imagine doing anything else!".

For Mikkel, the start has also been a great experience. He admits that absorbing so much new information in a short time can feel overwhelming, but he highlights the factory’s training facilities as a key advantage. Here, apprentices can practice at their own pace, ensuring they build confidence in their skills.

At HMF, we offer a 100% tailored apprenticeship program, where we take each apprentice’s development and individual needs into account. We ensure a clear structure, so our apprentices know what to expect throughout their journey.
